Christmas Home Tour
The internet is flooded with beautiful Christmas home tours this time of year. However, sometimes they can leave you feeling a little intimidated. Thankfully, Christmas isn’t about having the perfect house, it’s about much more. I may hang the stockings, put up the lights, place pine cones in just the right spots….but when all that disappears the hope remains. The hope that came in the form of a baby, lying in a manger…the reason we truly celebrate Christmas.
I hope you enjoy my home tour!
This little birdie I found on a date night. I instantly fell in love with him. I placed him on a slice of wood and love that he reminds me of my hubby.
In the mornings, I love to sit in front of the fireplace and drink my coffee. The dining room table is on the list of projects. We need to either redo it or replace it…decisions, decisions.
Last year I was looking through a Christmas book my Grandma had given me. She passed away almost 3 years ago. I was looking at it and remembering the time she had given it to me. Inside the book, I had forgotten about the Silent Night sheet music that she had stuck in the book. It was so pretty. I went out and purchased a red frame to display it in. It reminds me of my Grandma and how special she was to me.
I replaced my everyday pictures with free chalkboard Christmas printables found on Pinterest. It adds a festive touch to the wall, which I love!
In a couple of the frames I cut pieces of wrapping paper and added snowflakes. Simple, but adds color.
My breakfast nook is coming, as I mentioned before…someday I hope to have a built in bench all the way around. However, I love the wreath’s hanging from the windows. Switching out the curtains too, adds a whole new look to the kitchen.
My husband grew up always having a medley of nuts around the holidays. He would use the nutcracker and picks and eat piles at a time. It is fun now to fill it up and see our kids get excited to eat them., well if they can beat my husband to them that is.
My daughter and I added a little fun to the Mudroom with this DIY paper garland. If you missed the post, check it out Here.
To top off my decorations, I have pictures of all the kids on Christmas morning going up our stairway. It is still one of my favorite things to look at. How quickly time goes by!
I am so glad you checked out my house tour. Our home is full of love and blessings and I wouldn’t change it for anything. I will take a brief break and hit the ground running again in January! Make sure you subscribe to get the inside information.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
I love that you have the sheet music from your Grandma! What a special thing to have out at Christmas 🙂
Thanks Melanie. I know, it was like a hidden treasure. I had kept it tucked in the book for so many years. It is so special.
Beautiful! Just Beautiful! You have also given me some great ideas for my home. Thanks!
Thanks Julie! Make sure you take pictures of the fresh garland you made. I would love to try that next year!
