How To Have The Best Lemonade Bar

I have always been aware of Lemonade bars, but had never tried one until this Memorial Day.   It was a huge hit at our house and the temperature was in the nineties, so a cold glass of lemonade was perfect!

Having a lemonade bar was really easy to put together.  Something I didn’t realize beforehand is how convenient it would be. Most of the kids on our side of the family are age 5 or above, so having a drink station allowed them to easily get drinks for themselves.  It was perfect for a holiday party.

Putting The Lemonade Bar Together

To start, I bought a drink dispenser.  It is something I have been wanting for a long time!  I found it at a local store, but they have the same one on Amazon.

One Gallon Or Two?

The containers are glass and each hold one gallon. I was really debating between getting two gallon jars or one gallon.  Here is a little note if you are having the same debate.  I had a party with 16 people over (6 adults and 10 kids from ages 5-10) and I filled the one gallon jars up one additional time.  It wasn’t an inconvenience to me, but if you don’t want to do any refills, you may want the 2 gallon jars.  I personally was very happy with the one gallon jars.

Here’s a little Tip: loosen the lid to allow the liquid to flow through the nozzle better.  If the lid is on too tight, it creates a seal and doesn’t allow the drink to come out.

To have more variety at the drink station, I filled one with Lemonade and one with Sweet Tea.

Adding Flavor

To make the lemonade bar even better, I bought flavorings to add!  I picked Peach and Raspberry flavoring. This allowed everyone to mix and match the flavorings with the tea and lemonade.  The flavorings tasted awesome and added a delicious touch to each drink.  Every time you grabbed a drink, you could pick a different combination.

Make It Freckled!

To keep with the red, white and blue theme of the holiday…we had strawberries and blueberries.  The Fruit was the perfect touch to finish off your drink.  My personal favorite was tea with peach flavoring and strawberries!

I really am hooked!  I will definitely have the Lemonade/Tea Bar again.  Having the drink dispensers allowed me not to worry about the kids spilling.  For some reason it makes me so nervous to watch my kids pour a drink from a pitcher.

This is a great option for any party, no matter the size.  I have even seen one at a graduation party!

If you have done a lemonade bar before, I would love to know what your favorite combo is!  I would love to try a new flavor.
