Icy Holiday Punch

One of the most familiar tastes of Christmas is the Icy Holiday Punch my mom always makes. Every year we sip on it while opening presents, maybe with a cookie or two. The bowl is replenished heading into dinner, where we fill our glasses once more. It seemed to be the only time of year we ever made it, so it will forever be associated with Christmas for me. It is such a delicious punch and so easy to make. My mom received it from someone at her church years ago and I would love to pass it on to you.
Ingredients
- Water
- Sugar
- Pineapple Juice
- Orange Juice
- Lemon Juice
- Ginger ale

Making the Punch
Begin by boiling the water and sugar together.
Add all the juices and stir together. Once stirred, you will need to freeze overnight. I split the mixture into two containers to freeze.
The next day the slush will be ready. To save on time, you can also make the slush in advance and then just pull it out right before your party. The slush will need to sit out for awhile (depending on what size container you froze it in) before it is soft enough to break up. Once it is, take a knife and cut through the slush until it is in smaller chunks.
Put the slush in your bowl.
Pour in the Ginger Ale, about 3/4 of the bottle. Diet Ginger Ale works great also. If your punch has too much slush, add more ginger ale. If it has too much ginger ale, then add more slush. The consistency can be whatever you like best.
You are now ready to serve your Icy Holiday Punch!
The slush is so delicious!
It looks like the love for Icy Holiday Punch will be passed on. My girls both love it too.
