The Cheapest Way To Get Printer Ink
I am always a little skeptical when I find great deal, a deal that seems too good to be true. When I first heard about this program, I was hesitant. In fact, I didn’t share this earlier with you because I wasn’t quite sure if it was real! However, after several months of using this service, I can in fact say that it is real! If you have a home business, homeschool or go through a lot of printer ink each month (or even if you only print a little)…you need to sign up for the HP Instant Ink Program! It is by far the least expensive way to buy printer ink, plus there are several other perks!

Using A Ton Of Printer Ink
Rewind back to a year ago. For my blog I create printables, printables which I love to use as decor in my house. However, I had one big problem…I didn’t have a color printer! Any time I wanted to print off something to put in a frame, I had to get it printed at a store. It’s not too expensive…but when you like to print as much as I do, it adds up.
So I needed a new printer! As I began my search, some features I sought out were, of course the ability to print high quality photos, but it also had to be a wireless printer with a scanning feature.
After doing research, I bought the HP Envy Photo 7858 Printer.
Immediately I loved the quality of printing, however, it felt like I was always out of ink! I was printing so much. I began getting refills at the costco ink center (you bring in your cartridge and they refill it with ink), it was inexpensive…however, the refills did not last long. So I went back to buying HP cartridges.
Starting My Etsy Shop
Back in May, I opened up my Soon To Be Charming Etsy shop. I create mostly bookmarks with scriptures on them…click HERE to check out my etsy shop.
As you can imagine, printing high quality double sided bookmarks uses a lot of ink! If I was going to create bookmarks for a business, I needed to find a cheaper way to buy printer ink. I came across another etsy owner who mentioned using instant ink…so I checked it out. The one thing she mentioned as well is it seemed too good to be true, but she had used it for over a year and vouched for it! Now I can as well.
HP Instant Ink Program
One of the first and most important things is your printer must be eligible for the instant ink program. The printer I bought was…and I didn’t even know it when I bought it! How awesome it that.
If you want to see if your printer is eligible, use the link below and click sign up…the first question they ask is what printer you have. It will quickly tell you if your printer is on the list!
What I love about the HP Instant Ink Program is they offer several different plans based on how much you print. In the beginning I started with the smallest plan, which covered up to 50 prints a month. Then just recently I upgraded to the moderate plan, which includes up to 100 prints. They have a plan to fit everyone.
If you don’t have a printer that is eligible for the program, maybe it would actually save you money to buy a new printer. When you think about it, the cost of a printer is pretty small compared to the cost of ink over time! It is definitely something to think about! I do love my printer and would highly recommend it… HP Envy Photo 7858 Printer.

Other Perks For The HP Instant Ink Program
1. You Never Run Out Of Ink
You connect your printer to your online account and it knows when your printer is getting low and automatically sends you ink in the mail! Nothing is worse than running out of ink when you are in the middle of a project, or when you need to print that quick birthday card. No more running out of ink. Here is a picture of the ink that was mailed to me!
2. You Can Recycle Your Ink Cartridges
When they mail you ink, they include a prepaid bag to fill up with empty cartridges. Keep the bag until it is full and then mail the cartridges back to them for recycling!
3. Easily Adjust Your Plan Based On Your Needs
If you know you are going to print more during a certain month, for example letters for christmas cards in December, easily up your plan and then adjust it back down when you need to.
When I first signed up, it just felt too good to be true. They started sending me ink before I had even paid a penny! In the back of my mind I expected a big bill to come…but it never did! Signing up for the HP Instant Ink Program was the best thing I could have done for my business. Honestly, even if I just wanted to print off a few decor printables here and there…it would still be worth it! Never having to run out of ink and having the cartridges just show up in the mail is so nice!
Once you get started, let me know what you think about the program below!
