Simple White Christmas Table
For more than 17 years, my mother and I have decorated a Christmas table at our church’s annual Christmas Tea. Over the years, the tradition and time spent planning these tables has created far more memories than the decorations themselves. We have been so blessed by the friends and family that have sat at our table. This year was no different and I am excited to show you our simple white Christmas table from this years Christmas Tea.

Simple White Christmas Table
Let’s start with the centerpiece. We used a wooden tray for the base and the tray is about 18″ wide. We owned the three larger white trees, bought two Mercury glass trees at Hobby Lobby and then made the yarn trees.
To make the yarn trees, we bought two cylinder cones in the craft section at Hobby Lobby. They were only $1.50 each. Picked out some white yarn and then hot glued the end of the string to the top of the cylinder to hold it. We wrapped the yarn around the cone until it was completely covered and finished it by putting a dab of glue at the bottom to secure it. Trim the remaining string and your tree is done! They were very simple to make and you could have a lot of fun with color if you wanted to!
The reindeer in our centerpiece are actually ornaments and came in a pack of six at Hobby Lobby. The strings were tied onto the antlers, but easily removeable. We saved the ornament strings and then let our guest take a reindeer home as a favor.
The greenery was a large pick (once again from Hobby Lobby). We deconstructed it and then placed it around the tray almost like a wreath. I think greenery with a frosted look goes best with all the white and champagne colors, it allows the décor to keep a light and airy feel.
Remember when placing the trees in your centerpiece to alter the heights. Even though our trees were already different heights, we placed glass dishes under the yarn trees to vary the heights even more. Then filled everything in with “snow” to cover all the gaps.
You may notice the little white lights, we strung battery powered lights around the greenery to add a little sparkle as well.
White Christmas Napkin and Place Setting
Typically we use chargers under our plates, but this year we used metallic place mats. We loved how the metallic placemats tied in the mercury glass trees.
For the napkins, we purchased a couple different floral picks and blended them with a little greenery. To keep them together, we tied them with matching ribbon. The sprigs easily slid out when our guests needed to grab their napkins.
Winter Table Accents
Finishing touches! To top the table off we added a few glitter snowflakes (I believe it was an old paper snowflake garland we had laying around), white wooden beads and some mercury glass votives.
My mom made her own string of wooden beads by painting them and stringing them together with twine.
White Christmas Table
The table was beautiful and overall very simple to put together!
I hope this gives you a little inspiration for your own holiday table! Thanks so much for checking out my post!
